Meet the Savalan Team
Savalan LLC was founded in 2009 by Negin Shakibi, a finance professional with over 20 years of experience, to help clients achieve lasting growth. As Founding Principal, Ms. Shakibi built a team of professionals with expertise in working with accounting firms, multinational corporations, and professional services firms. Her team also brings diversified knowledge of audits, compilations, reporting, planning and analysis, corporate strategy, forecasting, and budget processing. The goal at Savalan is to offer depth and breadth to financial operations and to provide clients with the financial management guidance required to make strategic decisions for successful, sustainable growth.
Negin Shakibi, Principal and Founder
Negin Shakibi, a finance professional with over 20 years of experience, founded Savalan LLC to help clients achieve smart and lasting growth. Since 2009, Savalan has served as a trusted advisor and helped clients in a variety of industries successfully manage growth and reach their profitability potential.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Shakibi worked at Automatic Data Processing (ADP), where she was the Internal Financial Controls Manager, tasked with ensuring that business unit operations aligned with the company’s corporate objectives. Before this role at ADP, she served as National Accounts Services Controller for two important business units. Additional experience included a position as Accounting Manager at Printing Industries of America, Inc., a large trade association.
The hallmarks of Ms. Shakibi’s career are an ability to gauge the financial implications of every decision, the capacity to build scalable infrastructure, and a commitment that leads to long-lasting results. Now as a trusted advisor to a wide range of clients, Ms. Shakibi is determined to leverage her expertise to help small to mid-size businesses grow and thrive.
Ms. Shakibi obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Richmond and a Masters of Business Administration, with honors, from the George Washington University.
Lisa Winkler, Accounting Group Lead
Lisa Winkler is an accounting professional with over 11 years of experience providing accounting and financial analysis to various companies. Lisa joined Savalan in 2014 and provides day-to-day accounting services, monthly and yearly financial reporting and auditor support to Savalan clients.
Prior to Savalan, Lisa worked for a Delaware accounting firm, Horty & Horty PA, where she supervised audits, reviews, compilations and financial analysis of various small to mid-sized non-profit, manufacturing, gaming and construction clients. Additionally, Lisa worked for Sony Electronics Corporation as an Accounting Supervisor where she developed a deeper understanding of the corporate budgeting process and month-end closings. Lisa started her career as an auditor for Arthur Andersen where she developed her auditing skills through a variety of large and mid-sized companies.
Lisa graduated with a BS in Accounting from the University of Delaware and is a CPA in the State of Maryland and is a member of the MACPA.
Kim Holcomb, Finance Group Lead
Kim Holcomb has more than 25 years of accomplishments in a diverse range of companies and industries. His management expertise spans the full range of operational and financial functions, including accounting, IT, human resources, business improvement, and customer service. He creatively overcomes obstacles and designs successful strategies to transform businesses. Kim is a well-rounded business leader, driven to excel in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
With a strong understanding of cash flow and business strategies, Kim has revitalized a multitude of companies through startup, turnaround, and rapid growth modes. Kim is accomplished in standalone accounting software to enterprise systems, including QuickBooks, Protractor, and Peachtree (SAGE).
Kim holds double degrees in Business Administration and Political Science. He is an active member of Loudoun Toastmasters and past Treasurer. Kim proudly extends his leadership skills as a volunteer mentor/advisor to Mach37 Cyber Security Incubator.
Victoria Cardwell is an accounting professional with over 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and business administration. Victoria supports clients with monthly bookkeeping, payroll and financial statement preparation. She is proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics products. Prior to Savalan, she worked as an AR/AP Specialist for several law firms in the DC area.
Victoria graduated from the Wilmington University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.
